JSS Academy of Technical Education, Bengaluru has been giving equal importance to both academic and other activities. Institute strongly believe that both curricular, co-curricular and cultural activities are equally important for the overall development of students. To encourage the students to participate in different activities, the institution has created a Cultural platform, under this platform college organize many technical and cultural activities throughout the year, which includes Techno-cultural fest – VERVE, Music Day Celebrations, Kannada Rajyothsava Celebrations, Republic day celebrations, etc.
Techno-cultural fest – VERVE has created a brand name in and around Bengaluru and emerged as number one techno cultural fest among the technical institutions in Bengaluru. The fest is being conducted for 3 days every year and during these days, many events related to technical, sports and cultural are conducted. The Major events include Paper Presentation, Cooking W/o fire, Mock EPL, Quiz of wheels, Coding and Debugging, Shutter and Flutter, CS:GO, FIFA, Fashion Show, Mr. and Ms. JSS, Meraki Performance, Promenade, Classical solo, Flimy solo, Instrumental solo, Mini Soccer, Slow Drag, Hogathon, Treasure Hunt, Solo dance, Antakshari, Beg- Borrow Steal, Extempor, Split screen, Dhwani performance, Poets of Bangalore, Mini Cricket, Mini Basketball, Table tennis, Minute to win it, etc.
Every year during the month of March - April, the Institute organizes a marathon JSS RUN. People from all over Bengaluru registered their names through online and participate in the event. Thousands of enthusiastic people participate and made the event a grand success. Successful participants are rewarded with prizes and honoured them during the fest Verve.
International Music Day is being celebrated in the college every year on 21st June with the support Dhwani Band - the Music band of the institution. The Dhwani band is a well recognized band made good name by the people in and around Bengaluru, performed in many stages which includes performance at Sadhana School of Music, Bengaluru run by Mrs. Manjula Gururaj, Wonder Law on the occasion of New Year day celebrations, etc. The team also performed in a renowned Kannada channel DD Chandana, which will be aired shortly. The team members entertain the audience by singing songs in Kannada, Hindi and English languages, which includes both vocal and instrumental.
Institution has been organizing all the important events such as Kannada Rajyotsava, Republic day, Sadbhavan divas, Independence day, Azad Ke Amruth Mahotsav, etc. every year. Many cultural events are being performed depending upon the importance of that particular day. Kannada Rjyotsava Day-21 was celebrated in a grand manner by inviting renowned Kannada artists. Our college students performed various events related to Kannada depicting its tradition, culture, importance, etc. College cultural band Dhwani entertained the audience by singing Kannada songs.
