The Dean of Students’ Welfare is responsible for addressing the needs and concerns of students and fostering a supportive campus environment. The Dean primarily focuses on non-academic matters and plays a key role in planning, organizing, and coordinating various student-related activities within the college.
The Office of the Dean of Students’ Welfare provides a structured framework that enables students to explore and exercise the opportunities and responsibilities available to them during their time at the institution. The office also acts as a vital link between the college administration, faculty members, and student representatives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across the campus community.
Student life extends far beyond academics. It is a transformative phase where students not only gain knowledge in their chosen disciplines but also learn to adapt to new environments, build lifelong friendships, and develop essential skills and values that shape their future.
The Office of the Dean of Students’ Welfare at JSSATEB is committed to supporting students in realizing their full potential in every dimension of their growth. The institution proudly upholds a strong tradition of encouraging students to actively participate in extracurricular activities, leisure engagements, and, most prominently, major cultural and technical festivals.
The remarkable success of these events reflects the students’ growing confidence, leadership abilities, teamwork, and self-reliance, as they take initiative and responsibility in planning and executing them with dedication and enthusiasm.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring discipline and maintaining decorum among students across the campus.
Acting as the primary point of contact between the institution and parents/guardians regarding students’ progress and concerns.
Ensuring a ragging-free, safe, and inclusive campus environment.
Planning and organizing extracurricular and co-curricular activities.
Facilitating student counselling, mentoring, and related developmental programs.
Coordinating Merit-cum-Means scholarships and other scholarship schemes.
Organizing sports and games activities and facilitating student participation at the University level.
Attesting student certificates and official documents as required.
